Self-created Comics: The Different Me, The Beautiful Me

This summer, I developed comic series inspired by my personal experience with allergic rashes, constructing stories embodying self-consciousness, reconciliation, and empowerment. I continued the series with vitiligo, another skin ailment inflicting many around the world that I came across in a documentary, encouraging embracing unique bodies with confidence.

Audre Lorde once wrote, “Women must have close relationships with their bodies.”

I hope the viewers can establish a closer relationship with their bodies and comprehend the beauty of uniqueness.
